Rose Troiani, Director, Founder and Owner

 

Ms Rose has been in the dance world for over 40 years.  As a child she studied under some of the greats: Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Ruth Page, Marcova Beletntona, Tommy Payne, and Jimmy Sutton. She has worked with and belongs to organizations that are renowned in the dance world, like Dance Educators of America, Dance Unlimited, Tap Inc., Teachers Dance World, and many more.  Rose teaches, tap, ballet, toe, lyrical, jazz, tumbling, and musical-theater.

Ms Rose has a degree in dance, music and theater, along with a teaching degree. She also ranked high in her classes and has always loved to teach.  She directed a very productive dance and music academy in Chicago for 20 years before moving to Arizona.  Some of her students have gone on to work in New York Ballet companies as well as on and off Broadway shows. Many of her students have been in music videos and have received college scholarships. She has also worked and trained many of the Illinois State Pageants as well as many accomplished dance teachers.  Rose believes all children should have the great experience of the dance world and strives to let every child have a chance.  No child should ever have to sadly say "I can't afford it." Where dance is concerned there is always a way.        Through the years Rose has received many awards in dance and theater.  She was also involved for many years with the Teen America at McComik Place in Chicago.   One of her groups was awarded a dance tour through Europe.  The dance group was in competition with over three hundred (300) competitors and ranked number one.  Her competition group’s performance earned them the President's Cup Award. Rose was given the prestigious award of 2002 Dance Teacher of the Year at the 70th anniversary of Dance Educators of America, held in Las Vegas. It was a very special honor, as Dance Educators of America is a highly respected dance association throughout the world.

Leigh Starke, Co-Owner, Assistant Director, Dance Instructor

Miss Leigh has been in dance for 20 years. Her teaching skills are absolutely wonderful. She is best noted for her ballet and toe technique. Leigh is also one of our high-energy tap, jazz, and tumbling teachers. Leigh just finished studying and testing for her tumbling certificate.  Needless to say, she ranked one of the highest in her class. Leigh has trained and tested at On Stage Dance Academy, and she has also studied in New York, and California. Children of all ages enjoy Miss Leigh's classes.

Nicholle Beloat, Co-Owner, Assistant Director, Dance Instructor

Miss Nikki has been in dance and theater for 25 years, teaching for the last 10 years. She has been in several commercials and print work. Nikki excels in the teaching of tap, lyrical, ballet, jazz, musical theater, and voice.  Along with her extensive study at On Stage Dance Academy, Nikki has studied under some of the greats in Chicago, New York, California, and in Paris.  She has developed many good dancers and competitors. Nikki dances from her heart, and teaches from her heart as well.  Classes with Miss Nikki are always fun.

Mandi Simpson, Dance Instructor

All the teachers and children love Miss Mandi. She is fun and creative and is able to make students comfortable when they first come in. Mandi’s expertise is in Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Tumbling. Mandi has received platinum awards at many in and out-of-state competitions.  She has studied dance since she was almost three years old.  She decided at 8 years old that she wanted to teach Dance, she has trained to achieve that goal, she was in the On Stage teaching program for six years before going on to become one of our most loved teachers. She loves working with the children and with her personality and patience and love, they learn a lot. She takes great pride when they are performing and they come off the Stage with smiles on their faces.
